Performance is the key with the Sony Playstation 3 video game system. Apart from the built-in BluRay disc player, there are numerous Sony exclusive features that help make the PS3 stand ahead of all other game systems.
The Cell Broadband Engine has the muscle and horsepower to move beyond artificial intelligence. This is the power that is the digital soul of PLAYSTATION3.
Enter the new SIXAXIS wireless controller. Utilizing sensors designed to read when a player angles, tilts, thrusts, or pulls, the SIXAXIS controller allows game play to become a natural extension of the player’s body. Bluetooth for wireless gameplay
With plenty of games to choose from, Sony PS3 is the game that makes most sense, especially as you move toward using widescreen HDTV models. HDMI connectivity helps make use of 1080p screens as does the, included, BluRay player.

Wii Classic Controller

The Classic Controller is an expansion for the Wii’s Remote. It connects to the port on the bottom of the Wii Remote to allow for wireless connectivity with the Wii console. The shape and style of the Classic Controller is more like the traditional controller design, which allows for ease of use with the classic games available through the Virtual Console.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Its very nice, BUT………..
This controller is a very nice quality peripheral, but playing most Wii games (outside of the old console downloads) you really aren’t going to be able to use this at all. That in turn makes it useless, there needs to be some games that don’t require motion, EA could even do a fresh port of BLACK and allow us to use this controller.

This controller is a way to attract core gamers, if they gave us the option of playing FPS, and other mature games with it. Yes Wii is a family (room) system, so there is bound to be a hardcore gamer in the house probably pulling their hair out because they want a game that doesn’t require them to sweat it up all the time to game hard.

The upcoming Wii FPS “The Grinder” should give us the option of using a Wii Classic Controller.

It would also be a perfect remote for fighting games too (CAPCOM, give us Street Fighter 4, if you can do Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube, you can give us Street Fighter 4 for the Wii, forget the WiiMote on that note). I don’t even care if you make a special Street Fighter 4 for the Wii that looks like Street Fighter 3, it would sell.

SNK, give us King of Fighters 12, AGAIN forget the Wii-Mote, that game is do-able for the Wii, but companies look over the Wii with their new awesome games knowing that it could work with the Wii CLassic Controller. Thats bogus!!!

So this controller is in a similar boat as “Wii Speak”, has the potential, but right now there isn’t a lot going for it.

4 Stars Almost Necessary for Virtual Console Games
One major reason for my purchase of the Wii console was for the ability to play Virtual Console games from eras past. I still own an original NES and many of my favorite titles, but it rarely works properly, isn’t very cosmetically appealing, etc. etc. I find it a hassle to use. Also, I’d now have access to Genesis and SNES titles, and I own neither system.

While the game selection is limited and the game prices are too expensive, the Wii’s Virtual Console download option is still a great thing. Having owned one of the greatest controllers ever made – the Gamecube wireless “Wavebird” – I assumed that controller would suffice for most classic games. But that’s really not true.

A good portion of NES and SNES titles almost require this Wii Classic Controller. It handles great for SNES and NES titles, while the Wavebird makes for a mediocre substitute. And the fact that the Classic Controller plugs into the Wiimote makes it virtually wireless. Kind of.

So why 4 stars? It’s price point, as with every other Nintendo accessory, is irrationally high. I feel like they should provide two controllers at the $20 retail price. The Wii console and game titles are reasonably priced, but Nintendo gouges you on these accessories.

Also, the connecting wire is poorly placed at the bottom of the controller. It’s not exactly a hindrance, but it requires slight adjustment after years of cords propagating out of the top of the controller. Moreover, at this price, you shouldn’t really have to deal with any wire.

5 Stars Great for small thumbs!
I recently got into Geometry Wars Galaxies, a retro space shoot-em-up. Unfortunately when using the wiimote and nunchuck, I found my left thumb would tire very quickly because I had to stretch it to reach the taller analog stick. Fed up with thumb cramps, I rushed out to the 24 hour Wal-Mart to amend the situation.

The result: I absolutely love the classic controller. Its small size fits nicely in my little girl hands and thumb fatigue is virtually eliminated (for the first couple hours at least…) thanks to the shorter analog sticks. Because I missed out on video games as a kid (my parents thought children should do things like “read books” and “play outside”), it’s fun to get that old school gaming feel with updated games and no pesky cords tethering you down (the classic controller plugs into the wiimote).

I’m not sure how compatibility works concerning the classic controller versus the GameCube controller, but I definitely prefer the sleek look, small size, and increased mobility (wire-free) of the classic.

5 Stars Good controller
I highly recommend this controller for your VC games except your N64 games. I would use a Gamecube controller for your 64 VC games. But, this controller is excellent for your other games say for instance NES,SNES,Genesis, etc. Works great for games like Brawl and Mario Kart Wii.

The controller has kind of a good and bad design at the same time. The design works well if you are playing your games using the D-Pad. If you have bigger hands like me it feels kind of odd at first using the analog sticks and you will have to position your hands accordingly. Also what I did was I purchased the NYKO grip which really helped in my situation.

The controller is of good construction. With this being a 1st party controller its easy to note it has durable plastic and does not have the cheap feel to it that a lot of 3rd party controllers do. The D-Pad is completely perfect which Nintendo has been known for a lot of years.

5 Stars Awesome controller
Being the only console on the market able to switch around controllers, from classic controllers, guns, swords, tennis Rackets and whatever you can think of makes it all the more fun. This is another staple of why Wii is the best.

1 Star Waste of time
I purchased the Skip Dr. at Best Buy a few weeks ago hoping to restore some scratched discs. I was very unsure about the product and figured it was too good to be true, but after reading good reviews (and lots of bad ones) I decided to give it a shot. In the end, it was just a big waste of time. I used 25 different discs on the Skip Dr. How many did it successfully fix? None. It actually made my discs worse by leaving weird little mirror lines on ther inside of the discs.

I don’t usually write reviews but I want to help out the people interested in buying the Skip Dr. Do not buy this! It will not work! There’s no such things as a cheap disc polisher. You’ll need to buy something that costs about $200.00 like the JFJ Easy Pro Repair Machine. Hope this helps!

5 Stars This is the best DVD repair system out there.
I have small children who have scratched so many of our DVDs making them unviewable, that we were looking at hundreds of dollars to replace those beloved movies. We have tried many repair systems, some of which only damaged the movies further. The Skip Dr not only works brillantly, but it is very easy to use. And both the price of the original system and replacement parts is extremely affordable. Take it from this Mom you can stop looking, because you have found the best and most affordable option!

5 Stars Works and Easy to Use!
My 11 year old son was able to fix DVDs with this very easily. We tried the movies afterwards and no skips! Some where scratched pretty good too. Someone recommended this to me and I’m glad I got it. Still need to try it on our Wii games…

5 Stars Outstanding! It really works!
Okay, I didn’t get it from Amazon, but rather a competitor brick and mortar store. (bb) FIrst of all, I had a badly scratched disc: long, deep, circular scratches. It was caused by a minor shake on my X360 on the “GTA IV Legend of Gay Tony” disc that I had just bought. After a horrible crunching sound from the console, I retrieved the mangled disc. I first tried the so-called “toothpaste fix”, but to no avail: the disc was ruined. I bought the Skip Dr. and used it once and tested it. Nothing. I cleaned the disc a 2nd time. Nothing. I checked to see if it was okay to do it multiple times and saw that it was, and did it 5X in a row. (I figured, what the heck, what do I have to lose?) I used the disc in my 360 and: Success! Fully restored! My tips: use a lot of the cleaning fluid, really soak it every time you use the Skip Dr., and use the buffing cloth in the recommended fashion. (Buff out towards the edge, not in circular patterns.) This will work on your worst XBox 360 disc malfunctions: Highly recommended!

1 Star Just Burn Your Money
I’ve never used a CD scratch removal tool that works. From time to time though I like to buy products just to try them out, so I gave this one a whirl. This CD scratch remover was no exception. I used to have a couple of CDs with a couple of small scratches. Now I have a couple of coasters with sunburst patterns of scratches all the way around. This product is a joke; don’t buy it >:(

Easily charge and store your Wii Remotes with Nyko’s Charge Station for Wii. The Charge Station includes 2 NiMH batteries, exclusively designed for the Wii Remote, each providing up to 25 hours of play time. Each battery is easily recharged by placing the Wii Remote in the charging dock. The charging dock conveniently plugs into any standard wall outlet, allowing for rapid recharging of both batteries in 8 hours. The Charge Station includes 2 custom battery covers with contact pass-through points so you can charge the batteries while they are still in the remote. Each battery cover is also rubberized for superior grip during intense gaming sessions. The Charge Station matches the decor and styling of the Wii, and is small enough to fit in any home entertainment center.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Must Have if you own a Wii
My kids had been bugging me about new batteries ever since we have a Wii at home. Apparently, the Wiimotes consumes battery in no time probably due to the sound and rumble features.

I am glad that the charging station with rechargeable packs work as advertised. The finish and build quality are excellent. The product is well thought out and I was impressed.

The only concern I have is the battery pack durability. I have some bad experience with Lithium Ion batteries. Although these batteries do not have memory issue like the older technology, I learned that a fully charged Li Ion battery that left in the charger reduces the life span of the battery. Not sure if this is true but I know my Dell laptop which stayed in the docking station most of the time only lasted me 2 years. When it failed, you’ll know because once undocked your laptop will run out of batteries within 5 minutes.

My recommendation is to charge the Wiimotes and then unplug the charging station. I actually turn off the power strip instead of plug and unplug the charging station.

1 Star Nyko Wii Charging Base – Stay Away
I have gone through 2 of these bases and the prongs on the base that make contact with the controller bend and no longer work. I had the exact same thing happen with 2 different sets. Find another manufacturer.

5 Stars nice price
i always appreciate the Amazon reviews. It helps me to make a wise decision. Although our WII is new and have not needed to replace the batteries, I thought this would be good to have. I am not disappointed. Easy to use and you can see at a glance that your controller has recharged itself. Only wish they had one of this for the Roomba because their chargers suck.

3 Stars Good charger overall
This charger came with the Wii bundle that I purchased from Best Buy. As a charging station is seems to perform adequately however I don’t like the way the remotes fit into the charger, it is not a secure fit especially with the wrist strap attached to the remote. The other issue is that you can no longer use the rubber skins on the remotes once you switch to the rechargable batteries. I think it makes total sense to use rechargable batteries with these remotes but I liked the skins. The remotes feel to small without them. Other than that it has worked fine for a couple months since I bought it.

1 Star NO INSTRUCTIONS
Okay, I’m not mechanically inclined. I admit that. But I also had a competent 16 year old try to help me on this and they couldn’t figure it out either. So I don’t feel so bad. There were NO INSTRUCTIONS with this device. No list of what was there, plus you had to put this into the back of the Wii in order to use it. Yuk! What I wanted was a recharger that plugged into a wall plug and not into the back of my Wii. Plus, instructions for us unknowledgeable people to show us EXACTLY how to use the darn thing. All in all, this was a disappointment to me. Perhaps after I figure it out I’ll re-review it, but right now, I don’t consider this a good product.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars So far so good
I bought the watch primarily to help me maintain a pace while I train for a half marathon. The only functions I really use on it are the time, distance and speed. I do wear the heart rate monitor but don’t concern myself with it too much. Anyway, I’ve validated the distance and believe it to be accurate. I trust that the time is accurate as well so it would stand to reason that the speed is, also.

I download my data to the pc and it’s neat to look at, pretty cool to view it in google earth, especially my hikes. I know there’s a lot more functionality to the watch that I’m not exploiting but it’s serving the purpose I bought it for.

I’ll say the watch is a bit bulky but I don’t notice it being heavy at all. I would recommend this watch.

4 Stars Wonderful Training Device
There are hundreds of reviews on this device, so it’s difficult to add much to the tons of opinions and info that have already been expressed. I purchased this watch to train for a marathon and it quickly became a core piece of our daily routines. Both my running partner and I relied upon it. Get a bit sidetracked on your run and need to figure out, on the fly, how to still get the distance you need? The watch has you covered. Feel like your run is a bit off? The watch will tell you how far off you are from other runs. Even after several months of training, I felt like I barely scratched the surface of what this watch had to offer. The only piece of the ’solution’ that was a bit disappointing was the mapping/planning software that came with the Forerunner. Luckily, it integrates with so many other available tools that it wasn’t that much of a downside. As a gadget enthusiast, I give the Forerunner my highest recommendation: If it broke today, I would be at the store (or Amazon!) tomorrow buying another one to replace it. There aren’t many electronic devices I have that I can say that about.

5 Stars Forerunner 305
I love this Garmin because it does the Heart rate function well and downloads quickly to Plus3Network so I get credit for my training and help my charity.

4 Stars Great Device To Help Train For My First Marathon!
I purchased the Garmin 305 to help me train for my first marathon. Its a great device with many very useful features. Users of all skill levels will find something helpful/useful with the 305. I can honestly say that the 305 helped me finish my first marathon. Its a cool device.

5 Stars Love it!
I saw this watch on quite a few runners at a half marathon I was in recently. Started asking about because I thought it looked so bulky and heavy. But after they told me more about I was intriqued. So the next week I took the plunge and bought it here. I was still worried about the size but I was wrong. It does look big on my small wrist but I have not noticed any difficulties with size or weight. I love being able to see how far I have run or need to run. Sometimes the pace goes a little crazy but overall I feel it is pretty acurate. So I would definitely recommend to someone who runs alot and in places they may not know the distance of their run. I have only used the HR monitor once so I do not have an opinion about it.

5 Stars Well worth the price
There are cheaper ones out there, but as far as buying a companion mic for the wii (so that two players can sing and play simultaneously) this one performs exactly like the one included in the wii singing games.

2 Stars Does not work with all games
I don’t know what games this mic works with but can tell you from personal experience, it does

*not* work with Boogie Superstar. Since that’s the game my niece wanted to use the mic with, we are having to return it.

5 Stars Great microphone
Bought this microphone for the game Boogie SuperStar. Works great with it.

My 9 year old can’t put it down.

5 Stars Works well with RB2 and GH:WT!
I have used successfully with Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero: World Tour! No complaints. Easily recognized by the Wii.

5 Stars versatile
I actually bought this mic so I could do some audio recording and it works well with both PC and Mac as well as the Wii and other USB devices. Pretty decent sound quality as well.

Full HD 1080p resolution and 1080p upscaling, this network Blu-ray Disc player is the ultimate in picture quality. Plus stream movies, TV shows and videos, to your TV directly using Netfix, and YouTube without a computer. Simply connect it to a broadband home network through the built-in Ethernet port and grab your LG remote.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars LG BD 370 Great bang for the buck
Remote really sucks (quality of material, the feel when you hold it, buttons etc) but I cant say much about the player except for that the colors/video output is great! Loading time isnt that bad at all, cant complain about it, it is still faster than the PS3. Remote really bad though. =)

5 Stars The best inexpensive Blu-Ray Player you should have
If you want to replace your old DVD player, go get this one. It can truly upconvert DVD to the maximum resolution that your curent TV can handle. And if you already have a NetFlix account, you can stream movies efforlessly with no-time at all (provided you have a high speed internet access). For BD, it outputs true 1080p, vivid pictures and true digital sound. To love it more, read the manual and set up corectly. Highly recommend.

5 Stars Outstanding Product
This is an outstanding BLU-RAY DVD player, load time is short and the unit has played every dvd title I have tried, old, new and all blu-ray’s I have rented. (I have both Netflix and Blockbuster online services, my wife has MS so she watches a lot of movies.) We have had very good quality streaming from Netflix. My other blu-ray unit that cost three times this one would not play six different blu-ray titles, this has played them all. Cost for value on this is really outstanding, love it.

4 Stars much easier than a sony
worked perfect right out of the box. have not tried netflix yet but plan to.

nice easy to operate player at a good price.

4 Stars Read specifications carefully
This player is an extremely good value in all accounts: fast, netflix, connectivity (albeit wired Ethernet only), picture quality and overall easy setup and good layout of home screen. But the specifications listed by Amazon are different from the ones listed in the marketing material just below it (as of 12/07/2009). The Amazon version is 100% correct, but the LG provided content is not in at least one account, namely, the ability to play videos from sources connected through the USB port. This last count is not correct, is not listed (correctly) by Amazon and doesn’t appear in the manual that came with the device. So if you are planning to use the USB port to see your videos, this is NOT the player. I tried all sorts of trickery but LG has done a pretty good job in preventing enabling of this functionality in the players sold in the US. It is a feature available in other markets, so it obviously feature crippling through modified firmware. No workaround available in the internet allowed the player to read video content from the USB port.

So, sad to say, I had to return a perfectly good player for just one reason that in my case was a no deal thing. For all other purposes, is a very good device.
